Richard "Matt" Salter, 44, of Cypress, Texas, died in Baghdad when his Apache helicopter collided with another military aircraft in midair and crashed. Another soldier was also killed. The Chief Warrant Officer was a graduate of Cy-Fair High School and Texas A&M. Salter was assigned to the 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood. He is survived by his wife Janet and four children, one just 7 months old. |
