The Houston Astros announced today that outfielder Lance Berkman will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Thursday, January 26. The surgery to clear up scar tissue will be performed by Team Medical Director Dr. David Lintner at The Methodist Hospital. Berkman should be ready for Spring Training, as the estimated recovery time is four-to-six weeks. Berkman missed part of last season after hurting his knee in a touch football game.
In 907 career big league games, he has hit .302 with 180 home runs and 617 RBI. |
