A young HISD student on Thursday thanked a heroic school bus driver who helped save her life. On Tuesday, 6-year-old Rice School student Julia Tobias started choking on a rubber band while on the bus. When Driver Gwendolyn Hardy saw what was happening, she pulled over, called on her radio for help and did what she could to help the child. "I've been a bus driver for 27 years and it is my job to do my best to make sure these babies are taken care of," Hardy said. Tobias is now doing just fine and finally got to thank the bus driver who helped save her. |
