The discovery was made in the 3200 block of Reeh Road in Fort Bend County.
Investigators have interviewed the 20-year-old mother, Chelcey Pollock, who admitted to giving birth to the infant.
No one knew she was pregnant, so Pollock attempted to hide the birth from family and friends, officials said. The infant is believed to be a boy and was born alive around Jan. 26.
The autopsy results remain inconclusive pending the toxicology report, which will be another several weeks.
Pollock is predicted to be referred to the grand jury in a couple of weeks.
