A homeless man was hit by a train Thursday morning north of downtown.
Officials said the man was pushing a shopping cart and was hit by a train at Maury at Leona.
They are unsure how he was hit by the train, but he suffered a head injury and was taken to the hospital.
Officials said the injury is not life-threatening.
