Investigators say 27-year-old Gary Alvarez is a high-ranking member of the Mexican Mafia.

He's wanted in Houston on charges of aggravated robbery, drug possession, theft and aggravated assault.

Alvarez is being held on $100,000 bond and will be extradicted back to Houston.

U.S. marshals had been looking for Alvarez since last April. They got a tip Thursday that he was living in Raleigh and Alvarez was arrested without incident.
