High school students will be designing and building robots in the Lonestar Vex Competition Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Booker T. Washington High School. The teams have hopes of winning $6,000 scholarships to compete in the first Vex Robotics Challenge in 2007. This year's challenge is a 2-on-2 competition. In each match, two teams will be assigned to a red alliance and a purple alliance. Teams will win or lose as an alliance. Matches are two minutes long and the winner is determined by the alliance with the most points. Click here for more information on the competition and to see the design field. |
