Galveston deputies discovered a body Friday believed to be that of a missing Houston minister. The body was found in an abandoned mobile home about a mile from the Bacliff home of Rafael Rodriguez. Deputies found it after responding to a report of an odor coming from the home. The man was hanging from a rafter inside the locked trailer. The remains were taken to the Galveston County Medical Examiner’s Office, where an autopsy is pending. While investigators are continuing their probe, they do not believe at this point that foul play was involved. Rodriguez, 42, was reported missing on February 11. He was the focus of an extensive search by Texas EquuSearch, Galveston County Citizen Sheriff’s Academy volunteers, and local law enforcement officers. |
