A few dozen students from Humble High School protested proposed new immigration laws Monday.
They crossed Wilson Road to wave signs and Mexican flags at passing cars.
Humble ISD spokesperson Karen Collier said the students who were supposed to be in class will be punished for skipping school.
Hundreds of students from Aldine ISD also staged a walkout Monday.
