Prairie View A&M celebrates 130 years

Prairie View A&M is celebrating its 130 year anniversary.

Students, alumni, and faculty celebrated the school's history Wednesday.

Students who made the Dean's List and other university honors were also recognized at the event.

Prairie View A&M was signed into existence in the Texas Constitution.

Since its founding the university has awarded about 47,000 academic degrees.
