Houston firefighters were called to an apartment complex Monday when a carport caught on fire.
Roof material sitting under the carport went up in flames, according to the fire department. The flames spread to a nearby unit in the 5800 block of Gulfton near Renwick. Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control before it did any major damage. No one at the Lantern Village Apartments was hurt.
