A judge is working to determine the punishment for a former TSU professor who has pleaded guilty to stealing from the university.
Prosecutors said Dottie Atkins pocketed as much as $100,000 by submitting false invoices to the TSU internship fund.
They claim she took money for nonexistent interns.
While still working at TSU, Atkins was the director of the Mickey Leland World Peace and Hunger Center.
