The Harris County Hospital District closed several centers due to flooding and other weather-related problems:
The centers closed Monday include:
- Gulfgate Health Center on 7550 Office City Drive
- Strawberry Health Center on 927 East Shaw Rd., Pasadena
- All school-based health clinics
- Dental Center on 5230 Griggs Rd.
- Homeless shelter clinics
The Baytown Health Center on 1602 Garth Rd. has re-opened.
All patient appointments scheduled for today will be rescheduled.
In addition, all eligibility centers are also closed.
- Ben Taub General Hospital has reported that it is operating at lower capacity due to the inability of staff members to get to work because of high water. People are asked not to come to the hospital emergency center unless they are experiencing a true emergency.
