A federal grand jury Wednesday returned a 13 count indictment against Gregory Darnell Parks.
It’s alleged the 33-year-old fraudulently obtained thousands of dollars in Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Rita disaster assistance.
Authorities said Parks filed 15 separate fraudulent applications for disaster assistance, using 15 different social security numbers and 15 unique addresses.
He was arraigned and released on a $60,000 bond Wednesday.
If convicted, Parks faces a maximum 20 years in prison without parole and a $250,000 fine for each fraud count.
