Three men, all Mexican nationals, were sentenced to prison Monday. Authorities said the men smuggled minor girls and young women from Mexico into the United States. The trio then reportedly used deception, threats of harm, physical force and psychological coercion to compel their service as prostitutes in Houston area bars. Jose Luis Moreno Salazar and Salvador Fernando Molina Garcia were each sentenced to 60-months in federal prison. Angel Moreno Salazar was sentenced to 51-months in prison. Each of the men faces deportation after they’re released from jail. A warrant remains outstanding for the arrest of Gerardo Salazar, a.k.a. “El Gallo”. Anyone having information about his whereabouts is urged to contact the FBI at (713) 693-5000. |
