Coast Guard crews helped rescue a man who fell off a fishing boat Tuesday morning.
The crewman from the Captain Jack was picked up about 30 miles southwest of Freeport around 2 p.m.
After searching by air and sea, a Coast Guard boat spotted the man and rescued him from six-foot seas.
Rescuers say he was exhausted from swimming for more two hours without a lifejacket, but was otherwise in good condition.
He was very fortunate to be rescued, they said, because most people who fall overboard without a lifejacket do not survive.
