Convicted felon charged with sexually assaulting 13-year-old

A convicted sex offender arrested after being found with a missing 13-year-old girl has been charged with child sex abuse.

Fourty-two-year-old Larry Wayne Parker was taken into custody Thursday night after the pair was found in downtown Houston.

An amber alert had been issued for the teen after her mother reported her missing.

Parker will be in court Monday.

He could face more charges including failing to register as a sex offender.
