A teacher accused of asking a student to the prom is going to prison.
Sean William Eckman pleaded guilty to sexual assault of a child and was sentenced to four years in prison.
Two other counts against him were dropped.
Prosecutors said Eckman had a relationship with a female freshman at South Houston High School.
During the course of the investigation, he admitted he had sexual relations w/ her after she turned 17. They had been dating for about a year.
He even asked an assistant principal for permission to take the girl to the prom.
