Jane Rubio, a teacher from Katy, was working in Lebanon when the conflict with Israel began. In the following blog, Rubio describes her last hours in Lebanon: "This was a post that's been in my head since before I left, but of course I've been too busy to write it.
Jane Rubio, from Katy, has been trying to get out of Lebanon where she's been teaching for the last two years. This is one of her final blog entries before making it to apparent safety in Amman, Jordan:
I will be with the AUB contingent getting on whatever. Because if the US attacks anyhthing, it might not necessarily be the one I'm on. I'm leaving because of my mother. That's it. She will be dead if she doesn't see... Jane Rubio, from Katy, has been teaching in Lebanon for two years. She has spent the last few days trying to get out of the area. Rubio is blogging about the nightmare she's endured since the bombs began falling. Here is an excerpt from her blog: So as I was coming up to my room, I told the girl at the desk I'll be in my room, sleeping. And I double-checked she had my cell number and everything. And she's like, "Did you read the board?"
