Sometimes it is easy to forget. The year is 2008. Hillary Clinton is running to become the first woman to be president. Barack Obama is running to become the first black man to be president. Oink If You Love Edwards
At the campaign office in Ottumwa, they’re handing out bumper stickers that say “Hogs for John Edwards.” I also saw one on a back bumper in the parking lot outside the Des Moines campaign HQ. I’m told it’s a show of support for the Edwards campaign from family farmers here in Iowa. But the hogs don’t caucus here in Iowa. At least, I don’t think they do.

If a producer in TV news gets ready to tell you about an assignment and says, ”You should have fun with this…” it is usually the kiss of death.
