What the media, blogs and others are saying about DISD today. ** A late-afternoon interview helped us add some meat to yesterday's post about proposed high school reforms. My prediction: that college credit requirement will be an uphill climb. ** Our editorial board weighs in on the CEI confidentiality question we've written about. An edublogger agrees with us. ** WFAA had a report on the 10 o'clock about the proposal to pluck some magnet clusters out of Skyline. This issue appears to have turned into a hornets nest for the district.

Once again in that channel 8 story a Trustee is apparently conducting a meeting that in former administrations would have been presided over by a member of the top-level staff.
Do the Superintendent and his staff never conduct such meetings?

Moving some of the clusters from Skyline to Conrad would make them more accessible to more kids. Conrad is very close to DART rail and in a different quadrant than Skyline, which is bursting at the seams. This also might draw more North/Northeast Dallas children back from private schools.
