What the media, blogs and others are saying about DISD today. ** In addition to sending us its kids, Mexico now wants to send us a "17-point plan" to improve our schools. Any takers? Hopefully, we'll have more on what's in this plan later today. [Insert sarcastic comment here.] ** That Attorney General opinion that keeps DISD's teacher ratings a state secret? Houston is now citing it as cause to keep prying eyes off its teacher bonus amounts -- and by "prying" I mean taxpayers. ** District kids bust open their piggy banks for a good cause.
