What the media, blogs and others are saying about DISD today. ** The group advising trustees about a potential bond program makes its recommendation. The average homeowner would be asked to pony up about $43 a year. ** What a meeting last night. We'll have more to say about it in a little while. Dallas.org live-blogged the meeting if you want to read the play-by-play. While the Skyline issue made the most noise, a bunch of teachers at Roosevelt seem to be in open revolt. ** A local minister gives his thoughts on Dallas Achieves! He raises a legitimate question: Are too many Dallas parents ill equipped to help the plan succeed? ** I'm a fan of Learn Me Good. It's author, Mr. Teacher, has gone high-tech, with a video on YouTube. Best line: "Plus, he failed to grasp the complex abstractions of multiplication." ** The Eduwonkette continues probing value-added teacher evals, and cites the Dallas model as one she thinks needs work. |

Do you have the updated prioritization scenario in the $1.38 billion yet? That number doesn't jive with the first 4 on the 1/17/2008 draft version. We need to know about this asap
Thanks
