Dallas Slow Food starts a blog

SF_Dallas_logo.jpgIn lieu of a newsletter, the Dallas chapter of Slow Food has started a blog that includes events, news and profiles, like the inaugural one about the Navarro County farmer-rancher network.

I've had excellent beef from the P.O.P. Acres, juicy (and good) pork-goat sausage from JuHa Ranch and skin-softening goat's milk soap from French Cross Ranch - all part of the Navarro County gang - at Eden's Organic Garden Center's market days in Balch Springs.

Even though a lot of Slow Food events are for members only, if you are interested in checking out the group, the Slow Foodies are pretty easy-going about accommodating guests who want a look-see.
