The Jonas Brothers Thursday night at Nokia Theatre. (Randy Eli Grothe/DMN)
As a self-proclaimed '80s pop and new wave fanatic -- and I have no qualms about admitting it -- I'm tickled that the Jonas Brothers dig that sonic era. At the trio's sold-out Nokia Theatre
show Thursday night they covered A-ha's "Take On Me." How cool! Granted, the original is still best, but they did a decent job with it. Now, ironically, neither of the JoBros. were alive in 1985 when A-ha's timeless pop single hit No. 1. And certainly they weren't even figments when Kim Wilde released 1982's "Kids in America," which the Jonases remade as "Kids of the Future." But hey, they're mining my fave music territory, so the Jonas Brothers are OK with me!
