Michael Kors caught the most celebrities yet at his show in Bryant Park Wednesday. Sigorney Weaver, Eva Longoria Parker, Debra Messing, Natasha Richardson, Donald and Melania Trump, and Ellen Pompeo sat front row for his mens and womens collections.
Kors named the show “Reel” life, and he used a live feed of the mountain of cameras at the runway’s end for the back drop (at right), highlighting the Us Weekly ready looks worn by models with Amy Winehouse-inspired hair being trailed by Dick Tracy-looking fellows in perfect grey suits straight out of AMC's Mad Men.
“Hitchcock was on my mind,” the designer and Project Runway judge told us backstage. “I'd like to think of it as if Kim Novak and Amy Winehouse became roommates and decided to share clothes.”
“I thought it was fantastic, I think Michael is brilliant,” Ellen said of Mr. Kors' subdued florals, some perked up by an overlay of clear sequins. “I’m so impressed he continues to do this year after year. That’s hard to do, to be consistent.”
I snapped Ellen Pompeo wearing a Michael Kors cashmere shift, with her husband Chris in the background. After the photo session, I told her that, while Grey's Anatomy is terrif and all, nothing compares to the two episodes of Law and Order she's done. Especially the creepy one where her character kills her sister. Eek.

Ellen Pompeo is plain gorgeous and too darn cute. she is one of the most sweetest pure down to earth ladies i have ever met. thanks for this piece. she's a class act.
