Fans of Sonic Youth probably had their ears perk up last week. First, our Home section reported on Punk House: Interiors in Anarchy by Abby Banks and edited by Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore on Friday. Then David Ninh reported on the punk band's live performance at the Marc Jacobs show for NY Fashion Week.

Consider it a trend alert: post-punk is back and ugly/sexy is in.
