Cooper Salivates While Watching Astros Big 3 ......
When you watch Astros manager Cecil Cooper observe Carlos Lee, Miguel Tejada and Lance Berkman take batting practice ..... you can also see a smile come across his face. He calls them his "Big 3" .. and with those three in the heart of his batting lineup .... he's confident about going to battle with any team.
Cooper tells me," Not many guys can say that they have a3 guys who have proven they can do that. They could have 100 RBI's and 30 homers apiece."
Of course ..... he's hoping for the best in the Tejada federal investigation .... a suspension or worse ... would totally shake up the "Big 3" .... but at this point Cooper can only deal with what he has on the field ...and currently he has all three. Says Cooper,"Any time you've got three guys like that who are run producers, they hit homers .. that they hit for average ....I mean, that gets you pretty excited."
