If you thought advertisers couldn't cram a single more pitch into your life, you were wrong. A service called PumpTop TV is preparing to launch a nationwide network of ad-laden video monitors at gas stations around the country. Here's the company's pitch:
I have seen many scary things at CES this week, but this may be the scariest. I suppose, however, that TV ads at the gas station will ease the shock when Madison Ave. begins implanting ads directly in our heads. |

Actually, I wouldn't mind the ads if you'd get a discount on the gas in exchange for watching a 30-second commercial. Somehow, though, I doubt that's what gas stations have in mind.

I looked up the information. It is only a mixture of ABC news and ads. I would be irritated if it was a bunch of advertising but it looks like 100% of the time there will be content on the screen, its a spit screen according to the web site angela
