I don't own an Apple TV, so I can't review the massive software upgrade that Apple just released. I can, however, point you to some bloggers who have already posted reviews. Jason Chen at Gizmodo loves the reinvented Apple TV. It's everything Apple TV should have been when it launched. AppleInsider, in a very detailed look at the new software, generally likes what it finds but sees plenty of room for improvement. Using a high quality HDTV set, we couldn't see any visible difference in using 1080p over 720p from Apple TV, even when looking up close and trying to find differences in the static frames of movies or in the unit's own menu titles.
